Billie Farley was born on April 18, 1928, to parents Robert Lyle and Jewell (Nix) Roberts in Shamrock, TX, and passed away on October 7, 2022, in Royse City, TX. Billie married Johnnie William Farley on January 18, 1947, in Oklahoma City, OK. Billie was a homemaker who loved cooking (especially hamburgers and fried potatoes), gardening, journaling, and she loved watching Texas Rangers baseball and Dallas Cowboys football. She also loved attending the Calvary Baptist Church, where she spent a lot of her time volunteering and supporting missionaries. Billie’s life motto was: “My life hasn’t been perfect, but it has been wonderful.”
Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie William Farley; her daughter, Melody Ann Grochocki, and several brothers and sisters.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Donna Robertson and husband James (deceased), of Garland, TX; daughter, Karla Glaze of Rockwall, TX; grandson, Monte Robertson of Addison, TX; granddaughter, Jamie Walker and husband, Garrin of Lewisville, TX; grandson, Kirby Burden, Jr. and wife Christi of Fate, TX; granddaughter, Lauren Grochocki of The Woodlands, TX; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Boyle of Plano, TX; great-grandson, Tyler Burden of Fate, TX; and four step-great-grandchildren. Billie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
