Catherine Jeanette Manire, a devoted caregiver and cherished family member, passed away on September 21, 2024 in Kemp, Texas. Born on July 9, 1940, in Corsicana, Texas, Catherine was a guiding light to many throughout her life, She was known for her kindness and welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at ease.
For over 35 years, Catherine dedicated herself as a private caregiver, embodying compassion and commitment. She took great pride in making a difference in the lives of those she cared for, and her selfless spirit was evident in her efforts to help others. A testament to her generous nature, Catherine regularly visited food pantries in her community to gather food for those in need, reflecting her innate desire to uplift those around her.
Catherine found immense joy in the warmth of her family, always cherishing the moments spent with her loved ones. Her daughter, Lisa Burkley, and granddaughter, Amber Burkley, were constant sources of pride for her, alongside her great-grandchildren, Aiden and Alex Bright, who filled her heart with joy. Catherine also shared a special bond with her sister, Linda Haley, and brother, Michael Williamson. Together, they created countless memories filled with laughter, love, and support.
In her leisure time, Catherine enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for shopping and loved exploring estate sales, where she often discovered hidden treasures. These adventures brought her happiness and a sense of connection to her memories.
Catherine's legacy will be celebrated during a visitation on September 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp, Texas. She will then be interred at King Cemetery in Seven Points, Texas, at 11:45 AM, laid to rest amidst the love she so generously shared.
Catherine was predeceased by her beloved parents, Ruby Roy Williamson and Emmer Lois Gilbert, as well as her brothers Marcus and Roy Lee Williamson, and her sisters Shirley Ann Honea, Mary Baker, and Lois Marie Williamson. Their memory will forever be a part of her legacy, as she carried their love with her throughout her life.
As we remember Catherine, let us hold dear the moments that defined her – the kindness she extended, the laughter she shared, and the love she cultivated within her family. She will be missed dearly but will remain in our hearts forever, a symbol of love and warmth.
