Delbra Lynn Steptoe, 67, of Kemp, TX went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2023. Delbra was born on October 12, 1955, to Daniel Anderson and Dorothy Brewer in Fayetteville, NC. She moved to Kemp in 1977 where she resided for the last 46 years. Delbra has taken on many opportunities throughout her journey. She started off in the service industry learning how to cook at a once local restaurant named Anderson's in Kemp Texas which led to managing different restaurants in the surrounding counties of Kaufman and Henderson for several years. Some of the restaurants being voted best place to eat. After that she then went on to manage a Retirement\Assisted Living Center for the Church of Christ through most of her career (32yrs) in which she and her work was acknowledged numerous times in the Kaufman Herald newspaper throughout the years. Getting close to retirement Debbie decided to work with exotic animals like Tigers, and Ranch hand work with other animals. Debbie was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed whatever job she was fulfilling. Debbie was really excited about the start of her retirement years, and finally having a chance to spend time with all her children and grandchildren. Debbie loved hosting big family and neighborhood gatherings; cooking, decorating, swimming, and lots of travel throughout her years. Having a good time with friends and family was of importance to her. She spent time watching all genres of movies with her family and friends quite often. As hard as she would work at her job, she was most proud of being a great spouse and an excellent mother. Debbie loved to laugh, she was also a little bit of a prankster. She had many roles she played in life but most of all she was the solid foundation and stability that we all cherished and needed. Her father, Daniel, and spouse Billy Henderson preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are children: Casey Henderson, Cheyenne Steptoe and wife Hope, Daniel Dianellos and wife Kelli; grandchildren: Cheyonna Steptoe, Troy Steptoe, Mya Steptoe, and Dalton Dianellos; siblings Douglas Anderson, and Kathy Anderson; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
