Diana Jean Hillis, 78, of Scurry, TX went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2024. Diana was born on January 19, 1946, to Parke and Marie Davis in Sioux City, IA. Diana’s finally moved to Ft. Worth where she would grow up in the Richland Hills area. After High school she went onto University of Texas at Arlington where she would earn her bachelor’s degree. Diana worked for Gulf Oil as an accountant for 8-9 years. On April 15, 1985, she married Bennie Hillis, and they have spent a loving 39 years together. She enjoyed sewing and would create covers for card tables, creating a space for her kids and grandkids to build playhouses and selling the rest. Diana was highly involved with Scouts with her husband and found their church home, Cedar Creek Bible Church, through scout events. Dianna attended the church for 30 years where she was very involved with the nursery and organizing the Spring Carnival. She volunteered at the library in the Kemp primary schools, enjoyed listening to classical music and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Her collection of Madam Alexander Dolls, Fisher Price collectibles and Andrea Figurines is in the hundreds. Diana’s most precious time was spent with her family, and she enjoyed going on trips with them. They would go camping, where there were caves to go hiking in, she enjoyed visiting national parks and other tourist sights. Her and her husband would leave in their RV and travel from June to August, often bragging about the cooler weather wherever they were to friends. She was beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister.
Her parents, Parke and Marie, son Paul Michel Allen, and grandson Damon Allen preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband Bennie, children: Judy Hart, Mark Patrick Allen, Scott Wayne Hillis and Troy Allen Hillis; grandchildren: Jennifer Allen, Riley Allen, Christopher Hart, Tifanny Hart and Jimmy Hart; great grandchildren: Alayeh Allen, Colt Allen, James Hart, and McKenzey Hart; siblings: Nancy Davis, Sandy Wittie and Bill Davies, numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
