Donna Jean Johnstone

Donna Jean (Monroe) Johnstone, 73, passed away on June 19, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on September 9, 1949, in Sherman, Texas to parents James and Mildred (Dixon) Monroe.

Donna was devoted to her family and loved them very much.  Donna married her beloved husband, Tommy Johnstone in Carrollton, Texas on April 4, 1975, and was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family whom she loved dearly. Donna’s love for her grandchildren found her moving from Kemp, Texas to Nacogdoches, Texas allowing her to be nearer to them.  She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking meals, big holiday family gatherings, working on different projects and reading the Bible.  

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Monroe; and sister, Lyndia Monroe.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Johnstone; sons, Jason Johnstone and wife Leslie and Jarrod Johnstone; grandchildren, Avaleigh Jean Johnstone and Everett Ryan Johnstone; and her brother Paul Monroe and wife Dru.
