Doris Jenkins, "Nonnee " to most was a devoted mother, cherished sister, and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on 10/23/2023 at the age of 90. Doris, affectionately known as Nonnee, had unwavering love for her family, friends.
Born on Christmas Day, Doris cultivated a profound love for life, family, and the simple joys that surrounded her. Her life was a testament to unwavering kindness, selflessness, and boundless generosity. As the matriarch of her family, Doris leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that touched the lives of her two daughters, 6 sisters, and one brother, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Her love for family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she leaves behind a host of cherished memories.
Throughout her remarkable life, Doris exemplified resilience and a strong work ethic, evident in her dedicated efforts to help her family with whatever they needed, to maintain the family ranch even after the passing of her beloved husband Bobby Jenkins. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she touched the lives of numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and family friends.
Her genuine warmth and open-hearted nature made everyone feel welcome.
Her memory will always be a source of warmth and comfort for all who had the privilege of knowing her. While her physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her enduring love and kindness.
Rest in peace, sweet Nonnee. Your love and light will continue to guide and inspire us all. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives you touched.
