Eugene Edward Davis of Flint, Texas passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 80. He was born in Anderson County, on the 9th day of April 1942 to his parents, Welborn E. Davis and Eugenia Douthit Davis.
Mr. Davis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Davis worked for many years for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Brakeman/Conductor. Mr. Davis loved to fish as a hobby, but his real passion was music. He was an accomplished musician on many instruments. Mr. Davis loved to sing. Throughout his life he sang with several quartet groups. He had a strong baritone voice that he used to praise God. Mr. Davis was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Tyler, Texas.
Mr. Davis was preceeded in death by his parents Welborn and Eugenia Davis. He is survived by two daughters; Amber West and husband Jordan of Kemp, Texas; Sherry Haralson of Forney, Texas; brother David C. Davis and wife Rickie of Woodville, Texas. He also leaves behind granddaughters; Emberlyn Brooke West and Maranda Haralson; nieces; Kourtney Davis Adams and Krystal Davis Tolar.
