Glenda Gayle Holbrook

Glenda Gayle Holbrook, 84, of Kemp, TX, passed away on February 11, 2023. Glenda was born on August 24, 1938, in Electra, TX to parents Alton Holbrook and Cliffie Lee Holbrook.

Glenda received her Bachelor's degree in accounting from Baylor University in 1960. She was a hard worker who excelled at everything she did. Glenda worked for Delco Remy International for 10 years, and dedicated 30 years at Exxon Mobil before retiring. She loved books and was an avid reader to such an extent that she had her own private mini-library at home. Glenda loved to travel and also enjoyed golfing, she eventually purchased King's Creek Country Club which she owned from 2012-2022. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Cliffie Holbrook. She is survived by her significant other, Steve Leeper, of Kemp, TX.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Kemp, TX. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Rockin' Country Church in Kemp. Glenda will be interred in her hometown of Electra, Texas on Monday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00pm at Electra Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.
