James Lewis Blair, Jr.

James Lewis Blair, Jr., 77, passed away on June 25, 2023, in Kemp, Texas. He was born on December 29, 1945, in Kaufman County, Texas to parents James Lewis Blair, Sr. and Vera (Grant) Blair.

James married his beloved wife, Barbara in Styx, Texas, on June 6, 1970, and was an incredibly devoted and loving husband, brother, and uncle to his family.  He enjoyed playing pranks on those he was around, as well as being outdoors. James was a lifetime member of Styx Church of Christ.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Blair; parents, James and Vera Blair; siblings, Steve Blair, Larry Blair, Kenneth Blair, David Blair, and Brenda Wade; and in-laws Frank Hallum, Jr. and Mary Hallum.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Lollar of Jasper, Texas; sister -in- law, Sue Tischler and husband Cary of Kemp, Texas; nephews, Shane Tischler and wife Crystal of Kemp, Texas and Jesse Tischler and wife Amanda of Kaufman, Texas; great-nephews, Ryder Tischler and Eli Tischler; great-nieces Elaina Tischler and Shaylee Tischler; cousin, Jerri Henderson; as well as extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

In leu of flowers the family has requested donations be made towards American Diabetes Association | Research, Education, Advocacy
