James Robert Hardin passed away on February 29, 2024 at his home in Tool, Texas. He was born on April 13, 1947, to parents Robert Odell and Dorothy (Bailey) Hardin.
Jim, as he was know to friends and family, honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and married the love of his life, Mardy, shortly after he was discharged from the service. He and Mardy enjoyed gambling and traveling all over the country together. Jim's absolute favorite pastime was fishing with his buddies.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Hardin; brother-in-law, Earl Laird Key; and nephew Jackson Wheeler.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mardy Hardin; sister, Elizabeth Hardin Key; nephew Gene Olsen and wife Alicia of Mabank, Texas; great-nephews Carson and Terry Olsen of Mabank, Texas; and his lifelong friend, Diana Grider.
