Kevin Dewayne Mays, 40, passed away on September 22, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 29, 1982, in Kaufman, Texas to parents Kenneth Dewayne and Kathy (Moseley) Mays.
Kevin was a one-of-a-kind soul and a friend to many. He grew up in the Kemp, Texas area and spent the last 20 years of his life doing lawncare work for a living. Kevin loved wrestling, earning his nickname “The Animal” when he was in the wrestling ring. He was a huge fan of Insane Clown Posse and really loved attending the Gathering of the Juggalos, as well as participating in football pots (cheering on his favorite team the San Francisco 49ers, of course), playing horseshoes, and popping fireworks at the city hall. Kevin also really loved his dog, Angel, and took her with him wherever he went. Kevin had a huge impact on all of his friends and family, and he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Kathy Mays; brother, Johnathan Mays; grandpa, Noble Mays; great-grandfather, Earl McGuire; and uncles, Ray Mays, Noble D. Mays Jr., Ray McGuire.
Kevin is survived by his daughters, Amanda Day and Tori Cowden; stepfather, Paul Ransdell; great-grandmother, Eula “Tutsa” McGuire; granny, Glenda Moseley; grandma, Dorthy Hillis; siblings, Patrick Mays, Stormie Ransdell, Melissa Maynard, and Destiny Mays; aunts, Janis Archor, Rita Langston, June Newman, Linda Ross, Debbie Baldwin, Kay Sloan, Shery Ross and Karen Terry; uncles, Terrie Moseley, Perry Coder, David McGuire, Lonnie Ross, Darrel Crocker, and Randall Mays; as well and numerous extended family and countless friends.
