Marguerite Lois Cook Nelson Whiteley

Marguerite Lois Cook Nelson Whiteley was born in Dallas TX, on March 31, 1929, to James Emmitt and Myrtle Laverne (Smith) Cook. She was 94 years old upon her passing, on June 9, 2023, in Tool, TX.

Marguerite enjoyed her career as a nurse for much of her life. When she was not working, she enjoyed fishing, playing miniature golf, and playing board games with those that she loved. One to be described as a people person, Marguerite was very outgoing and enjoyed talking to and being around others. God’s love was spread through her as she loved praying for others and sharing God’s love and joy with all of whom she came in contact.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Nelson; parents, James and Myrtle Cook; her beloved daughter, Della Jean De Clue; her siblings, Ella Francis, Buck Cook, Cedella Ford, John Henry Cook, Alise Bertie Snowden, Floyd Edwin Cook, and Vivian Marie Cook

She is survived by her children Ronnie Nelson of Tool, Texas, Laverne Nelson of Mesquite, Texas, James Nelson and spouse Sherry of Tool, Texas, Eddie Nelson of Iowa Park, Texas, Janelle Featherstone of Tool, Texas, and Joycelyn Nelson of Tool, Texas; many grand and great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Cook of Rockwall, Texas, as well as extended family and friends.
