Monda Wright

Funeral services for Monda Sue (Wilson) Wright, 88 of Kemp will be held at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home with Brother Greg Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery with James Grider, Bryan Wright, Anthony Wright, Joshua Thomas, Zak Morris and Bobby Valentine serving as pallbearers. 

Monda Sue Wright was born October 9, 1933, in Dallas, Texas to Gus and Virginia (Shaw) Wilson. She married William Comer Wright on July 25, 1952, in Kemp, Texas. Monda enjoyed working in her flower bed and taking walks when she was not spending time with her family or working at Doss McDougald Variety Store. Monda was also known for making the best chocolate and lemon pies in the world.

 Monda is survived by her three children, Wanda Wright Grider and husband Darrell of Denton, Texas, William Wright and wife Cathy of Kemp, Texas, and Mona Thomas and husband Greg of Eustace, Texas; grandchildren James Darrell Grider of Denton, Texas, Bryan Wright and wife Brandy of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Anthony Wright and wife Myra of Kaufman, Texas, Joshua Thomas and wife Tyla of Kaufman, Texas, Sarah Morris and husband Zak of Kemp, Texas; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Comer Wright, her daughter Vickie Lynn Wright, and her sister Wanda Valentine.
