Nancy Carol Kent

Graveside service for Nancy Kent, age 77, of Kemp, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at King Cemetery, Kemp TX, with Marvin Penrod and Scott Kent officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Kent went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022, in Athens, TX.

Nancy was born on January 5,1945 in Sherman, TX to Joncie and Georgia (Robbins) Castle.  She married Dennis Kent on July 5,1963 in Dallas, TX. She spent most of her life being a homemaker raising her children and faithfully supporting her husband. Nancy had a personal relationship with her Lord where she practiced the Pentecost beliefs. Nancy was generally found reading a good novel or watching a “cheesy” B rated monster movie, when she was not busy tending to her family. She enjoyed adding her personal touch to decorations.  

 She is survived by her husband Dennis Kent of Kemp, TX,; children, Michael Kent and wife, Eva of Kemp, TX, Scott Kent and wife Lori of Montalba, TX, Rob Kent and wife Leah of Tiki Island, TX,; grandchildren, Robert Crutcher and wife Kristy of Whitehouse, TX, Michael Crutcher and wife Brooke of Gun Barrel City, TX, Allison Kent and Sarah Kent, both of Kemp TX,; great grandsons, Corbin Crutcher of Gun Barrel City, TX, and Ryan Crutcher of Whitehouse, TX,; sisters, Martha Castle of Eustace, TX, Sharon Saul of Keller, TX, and Donna Penrod and husband Marvin of Nowata, OK, and a whole host of family and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents along with her niece Peggy Kent Butler.
