Nelda Joyce King

Nelda Joyce (Freeman) King was born on October 19, 1933 in Dallas, Texas; to parents Arthur and Anna Mae Freeman. She entered into eternal rest on September 24, 2021 at the age of 87. Nelda was a kind and generous woman, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her family was always the most important part of her life and she always made sure they knew how much she loved them. Nelda enjoyed traveling and especially in an RV, she loved seeing new places and experiencing new adventures. In her free time she could be found reading, crafting and shopping. Nelda’s favorite pastime was getting together with her beautiful family and making precious memories together, that will last them a lifetime. Nelda was well loved and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Freeman; husband, James King; son, Jimmy King; daughter, Teri Elliot; granddaughter, Amy Ward and great-great grandson Morgan Murrow. She is survived by her daughter, Susie Haley and husband Jackie; grandchildren, April Freeman and husband Jeff, Stacey Robinson and husband Michael, Jayme King, Nikki King, Jacob Haley and wife Cordelia, as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
