Norman “Earl” Thompson was born on September 11, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to parents Elbis Aaron and Zelma Olivia (Cotten) Thompson.
Norman worked for Certain Teed after high school and then for TX DOT. He retired from TX Dot in 2009 but had many jobs on the side. Hauling dirt, building everyone’s house, digging tanks, bailing hay, and anything that involved dirt work. Norman loved life, his family and his friends and many other aunts and uncles that he loved visiting with and telling stories. He would sit up all night with his aunts on the Thompson side talking. He loved to play pool in his spare time and was very good at it.
