Preston Rhyn Haley was called home to his final resting place on Monday, March 27, 2023. He recently celebrated his 21st birthday.
Preston was born on March 15, 2002 in Mesquite Texas.
Preston was a natural born leader and he always made friends with people no matter where he went. He was a jokester and loved to make others laugh. In 7th grade Preston was voted for the Student Council President. In high school he was so well liked that he won Homecoming Court for 3 years in a row. In 2020, Preston graduated from South Park High School in Fairplay, Colorado. Preston took pride and determination in his work ethics and was one of the best at what he did. He proudly worked for Bayed Communications, LLC. as a tower technician. All he ever talked about was becoming a foreman. Preston would have been the youngest “foreman” to have ever held that title for the company. When he wasn’t working, you can bet he was having a good time enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing at the lake, and if no one else was catching fish you can guarantee that Preston was reeling them in left and right. Preston had a real passion for dirt track racing and was even awarded with two of his very own Thunderstock trophies from Big O’ Speedway during his first year of racing. He loved to hunt, snowboard, play on his play station and spend time with his girlfriend. His family meant the absolute world to him and he looked forward to attending all the family gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents Jack and Dolores “Dee” Kedroski, Erwin Eugene Staats and Claude Sawyer, brother Dawson McKae Medlock, uncles, Michael “Mikey” Lorenz and Anthony “Tony” Horton and two very special angel friends Kelleye Sluder and Jason Wooden.
Those left with cherished memories are his mother Jennifer and her husband John Armstrong, father Rhyn Haley and his wife Jennifer, his beloved girlfriend Bradie Howell, sisters: Alison Haley and Madison Haley and her boyfriend Robert; step sister Koa Armstrong; grandparents: Jacquelyn Lorenz, Lisa Armstrong, Lynn Haley, Sharon Cober and her husband Greg and Doris Hurtado; great grandparents: Mary Sawyer and Shirley Staats; aunts: Laci Lorenz, Laurie McKnight and her husband Brent and Shawna Redman; uncles: David Lorenz and his girlfriend Kayla, Jimmy Jo Haley and his wife Carissa and Glenn Simpson and his wife Tina; great aunt Vickie Friske; cousins: Peyton, Anthony, Sadi, Elaina, Arya, Destiny, Hunter, Hanna, Nathan, Aiden, Makenzie, Rileigh, Landen, Kamden, Jax, Brink, Kadence and Allara, along with a numerous amount of beloved family and friends who will miss him dearly.
