Ray Charles Holloway

Ray Charles Holloway passed away on March 8, 2024, in Kemp, Texas. He was born on September 26, 1945, in Greenville, Texas to parents R.C. and Louise (Swindell) Holloway.

Ray was married to his beloved wife, Deidre for 51 years and although stubborn, he was an incredibly devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother to his family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, especially saltwater fishing. Ray loved gambling and buying scratch-offs and enjoyed visiting the flea markets in his free time in search of a good deal. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, R.C. Holloway and Louise Morris; wife, Deidre Holloway; great-grandchildren, Erica Kines, & Barrett and Oakleigh Holloway.

Ray is survived by his children, Randall Holloway I and wife Page of Kaufman, Texas, Kevin Holloway and wife Cass of Union Valley, Texas; grandchildren, Randall Holloway II and wife Helen of Scurry, Texas, Kara Kines and husband Justin of Kaufman, Texas, Savanna Kwast and husband Nicholas of Heath, Texas, Hunter Holloway and wife Elizabeth of Canton, Texas; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Nicholson of Balch Springs, Texas, Jamie Jones and husband Mike of Ashland, Kentucky, Darlene Smith and husband Glenn of Van Zandt County, Texas, Vanessa Shamburg and husband Marty of Hideaway, Texas, and Wayne Morris.
