Sharon Dhane Chase, age 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2025, at her home in Scurry, Texas, just one day before her 76th birthday. Sharon was born on February 18, 1949, and lived a life full of unconditional love for her family and friends.
A proud graduate of Wilmer High School, class of 1967, Sharon was a dedicated member of the drill team, where she first developed her passion for teamwork and performance. Throughout her life, Sharon had a deep love for both adventure and tradition. In her younger years, she enjoyed water skiing, fishing, and coaching drill teams. Later in life, her passions shifted to gardening, as well as playing cards and board games, a nightly tradition she shared with her beloved husband, Dale. Sharon and Dale played their favorite games, including Wahoo and Yahtzee, together every evening, and on her final night, she triumphed, winning all their cherished games.
Sharon met Dale Chase on June 17, 1989, and they married on October 5, 1996. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sharon’s giving nature and warm heart made her a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Dale Chase; her son, Brandon Cole, and his wife Carrie; her daughter, Laura Ramsey, and her husband Mike; her sister, Linda Heard, and her husband Ronnie; and her beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn Cole, Coley Braswell, Preston Cole, Dalton Ramsey, Brooklyn Cole, and Braelyn Cole. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Haskell Dhane, and her mother, Mary Riley Dhane.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th from 6-8pm at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Kemp, TX. Her funeral service will follow on Tuesday, February 25th at 10am.
Sharon’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace, knowing that her love and kindness touched so many lives.
In "lieu of sending flowers", the family is asking you to purchase a "Rose of Sharon" tree or bush in remembrance of Sharon, so our memories of her can bloom forever.
