Tissie Lea Bruner

Tissie Lea Bruner was born June 28,1936 in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to Lester and Dorothy (Mitchell) Beall.  Tissie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2022, at her home in Mabank, Texas with family around.

 Tissie practiced the Baptist beliefs, having a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. Ms. Bruner spent majority of her life being a homemaker where she took care of her home and her children. Tissie was united in Holy Matrimony with Billy Ray Bruner on November 27,1961 in Dallas, Texas. Tissie could always be found relaxing with some puzzle book both cross word and word searches when relaxing or at the end of a long day. She loved spending time with her family and friends but found enjoyment in gardening and cooking during her alone time.

Ms. Bruner is survived by her stepchildren, Patricia Dennis of Abilene, Texas, David Norman Bruner and spouse of Hamlin, Texas, Donna Vaughan of Crandall, Texas; children Weldon Ashton of Dallas, Texas and Lois McKnight and Jimmy Davis of Mabank, Texas; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bruner of Mabank, Texas, her parents both of Tawakoni, Texas, stepdaughter, Kathy Farrald of Red Oak, Texas, stepson Terry Bruner of Crandall, Texas, son David Ashton of Irving, Texas, son Marvin “Pete” Bruner of Red Oak, Texas, great granddaughter Brystol Hollabaugh of Waxahachie, Texas and grandson, David Ashton Jr.
