Wallace "Tom" Thomas

Funeral services for Wallace “Tom” Thomas, age 90, of Kemp, TX, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home of Kemp, 1226 S. Elm St., Kemp, TX 75143. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Roger Unger, Larry White, Mark Thomas, Justin Gregory, Jordan Gregory, Christian Unger and Jace Gregory serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home of Kemp. Mr. Thomas passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his residence. The family welcomes donations to the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.

Wallace was born on May 9, 1931, in Tehuacana, TX to William Horace Thomas and Lillie Marie (Gifford). He met the love of his life Mary Katherine “Katie” Rogers while serving in the Air Force in Fort Worth. They were married for 47 years. Upon leaving the military Wallace began a 35-year career in the electronics and defense industry.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Katie, and sister, Patsy Oliver.

“Tom” is survived by his daughter, Donna White and husband Larry, son, Mike Thomas; daughter Beth Ann Unger and husband Roger; grandsons and their spouses, Mark and Sheana Thomas; Justin and Ashley Gregory; Jordan and Madison Gregory; Christian and Krystal Unger; great grandsons, Jace Gregory; Merrick Unger; Luke Methenitis and Hudson Methenitis, great granddaughters, Ashton Gregory; Leighton Unger, sisters Jean Cotropia and Joanne Gregory and husband Jim; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
